“Living Vertically and Horizontally, Loving our Neighbors”

Dates: October 1 - October 29

Thursday Evenings from 7-8pm via Zoom

Jesus commands us, in the Book of Matthew, to love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind. He also tells us to love our neighbors as our ourselves. Throughout scripture, Jesus modeled loving God and loving others by attentively listening to people. He healed and brought peace to many by taking the time to actively listen and attend to those who cried out in need and in pain. What would happen if we took the time to pause and simply and genuinely listen to our neighbors as Jesus did? Join us on a five-week journey as we continue the conversation around race and faith. We will listen to the voices of our neighbors so that we may better understand the current climate of our community in regards to racial differences, calls for peace, and for all of God’s children to live united as brothers and sisters in Christ.

The goal of this study is to sincerely open our hearts to all of our neighbors, to focus our eyes on the Kingdom of God, and to live and love as Jesus lived and loved.

*This study will be offered virtually over Zoom for large group teaching and then small groups for further discussion.
